Sembmarine Kakinada Limited is an integrated offshore and marine engineering group, offering ship repairing, ship building, conversion, offshore fabrication and services. Facilitating a one-stop integrated offshore services for ship-owners and offshore operators trading or operating in the waters off Indian East Coast near one of the world's key oil and gas exploration , Krishna Godavari Basin. They are the sister concern of SembCorp Marine, a Singapore based Company. Having got a Floating Dock built and towed from China and now finishing up with some modifications, Sembmarine Kakinada Ltd. is all set to provide advance expertise in the area. Kakinada Floating Dock No. 1 would be one big leap in Kakinada Deep Water Sea Port facility with one of its kind state of the art platform. They are also constructing a Slip Way and already installed a suitable medium lift crane, the biggest in the area to leverage their ship repair capabilities. NIST was invited to train young and dynamic engineers of SKL and the training was delivered at Sea Port itself. We discussed the requirements with client and designed an appropriate training program. Modules included Marine Risk Assessment, Fire Fighting at Sea, MARPOL, Safe Shift Handover etc. along with British Safety Council RA & FS programs. Training was very much appreciated by all and as a feedback we were recognized as an apex training providers in the field of Marine, Oil & Gas industry.
